Flash Forward Finalist

The Hope Garden is a finalist in the The 16th Flashforward Film Festival at Flashforward2006 Austin. Since my first Flash Forward conference in 2001 it’s been a goal of mine (one of the many) to win a rubber arrow. Now I’m one step closer, only to find the site is up against Leo Burnett. Ouch! It’s only the FWA site of the year. Also nominated for Navigation are Adidas Y-3 and Saab Aero X.

It’s a huge honor to be a finalist, especially in the navigation category. From the announcement on the Flash Forward Blog it’s said they had twice the usual number of nominations this year.

If you are so inclined, give the Hope Garden a vote for People’s Choice award.

See ya’ll in Austin this September.

Congratulations Paul. I don’t know much when it comes to design and programming but it looks like you are at the top with some pretty good company. Good luck!

Nice, Paul. Leo’s got nothing on the HG. Congrats, and good luck in the finals.

Nice work Paul. I just noticed that you received site of the day on http://www.thefwa.com.

    Congrats -

I am dying to see it but I get a Flash 8 required message in IE on windows XP. I have flash 9 installed.

  6. Paul says:

Josh, I just put player 9 on IE and it works fine. I’m using SWFobject so it’s supposed to be forward compatable. Weird. Please let me know if you think of a way I can duplicate the issue.

Congratulations! The site looks awesome. The nav for the Saab and Adidas sites are really awkward, and the Leo Burnett, well…
Good luck, man. You’re in good company.
