Mac.

I just watched the entire live stream of the 2+ hour keynore by Steve Jobs. No really big announcements, the iPod mini is pretty cool, but only 4 gigs and a steep $250. Although I see this as Apple’s next step in turning the iPod into a full use PDA, like an OS X version of the Pocket PC.

GarageBand has me really excited with very nice options to record, mix and create music. It’s very cool. But the one Apple app that really makes me want to switch to Mac is iPhoto. No other Windows app compares for digital photography managment, Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 and iView Media just don’t seem to compare well at this point.

The only Mac hardware I have ever owned in my life is the origional iPod 20gig for Windows. It’s my second favorite piece of hardware, right after my Viewsonic monitor.

iTunes for Windows

I’m exstatic and amazed at how smooth and usable iTunes for Windows is. After trying to make use of Musicmatch and Winamp, this app blows them off the earth.
There are still a couple features that MusicMatch had that are not yet available on iTunes. Auto loading of CD art, easy CDDB lookups for poorly named MP3’s, but I’m afraid these features have been left off purposly to push the iTunes store. Which by the way is fantastic.
